Kathleen C. Insel, PhD, RN

As an Associate Professor in the College of Nursing, Dr. Insel is focused on the ways in which normal aging and changes that can accompany aging have the potential to influence self-management.  She is a member of the Sarver Heart Center and the Center on Aging at the University of Arizona.  She is also a member of the Scientific Review Board for the multi-site National Institute of Aging (NIA) funded Center for Research and Education on Aging and Technology Enhancement (CREATE) that includes the University of Miami, Georgia Institute of Technology, University of Pittsburg, and Florida State University.  Her research activities include investigations into the biology of aging and self-management, particularly of hypertension among older adults.
